We always need volunteers at Unique Ways, to help us provide the best support possible for parent carers and their children. We also love having new faces around our office!

To enable us to continue to develop our provision and best possible quality of service to our members, we have identified three volunteering opportunities. We believe these roles will play a key part in assisting our team of Practitioners with our direct services offered to parent carers, and to our Chief Executive Officer in ensuring our charity is supported financially.
In each of the volunteer positions, the ideal candidates will have a good understanding of the issues faced by parents of children with disabilities and additional needs and have excellent administration, organisation and planning skills. Full training will be available for each of the roles.

The three roles available are:

Volunteer Research Support Assistant

Volunteer Self Advocacy Administrator

Volunteer Training and Services Support

If you think you could make a difference to the lives of families of disabled children in Calderdale, application packs can be requested by telephone on 01422 343 090 or please email volunteers@uniqueways.org.uk

For an informal discussion about the roles, please contact Shona Walsh on 01422 343 090.

Please note Interviews will take place for every Volunteer role, ideally in September 2018.
Although we are very flexible in agreeing the volunteer hours for each role (most of our staff team work during school hours), we are looking for a real commitment to the agreed hours on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, none of the three roles we currently have to offer, will work on an ad-hoc basis.

What can you do?
