Are you looking for a fulfilling role that will have a real impact on the lives of families with disabled children in Calderdale ?
Unique Ways is a local Parent Carer led charity supporting families with disabled children, helping them to lead ordinary lives. Our goal is to make sure that the voices of Parent Carers and their families are heard and that Parent Carers receive the support they need to build their resilience.
We provide a broad range of services for our Parent Carer Members, from free training courses, workshops and focus groups to a range of specialist support from our team of practitioners. We don’t restrict our services based on whether the child/young person has a formal diagnosis or not, and instead work with anyone who feels they need our help.
We are a ‘Disability Confident’ employer and positions are open to successful candidates with the ability to complete tasks with or without reasonable accommodations. We are seeking a team member who will share our values and be passionate in the belief of empowering potentially excluded people. In return, we offer family friendly policies.
Ideally, the position available will be 30 hours per week. It is essential the candidate can work Fridays. However, we can be flexible with start/finish times as long as there is a commitment to a regular working pattern. The position will be based at our Halifax office (Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre), however, occasionally travel throughout the Borough will be necessary.
The Operational Lead is a support function role and key driver in ensuring the staff team and infrastructure connect to provide a first-class service and seamless delivery for our Members.
Provisional date of interview:
Wednesday 17th May – Thursday 18th May 2023.
