Training for Parents and Personal Assistants

Posted on

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our survey on training for parents and personal assistants. We were asked by the Council to find out whether or not families would benefit from any specific training, what this would look like and what subjects it would cover.

The information we gathered from families can be found by clicking here.
It is incredibly important to us that when we conduct any sort of survey that we follow this up to find out what difference the voice of parents makes. As a result of what families told us:
• The Council’s workforce and development team have received the report and have used it when planning the programme of development opportunities
• Training developed and offered by the workforce and development team will reflect the types of training requested by families
• A programme of training will now be advertised for families and personal assistants in September and will be provided free of charge.

Thank you once again to everyone who fed in their views. For more information on how you can tell us what you think in order to influence services please contact Janine Wigmore on 343090 or janine.wigmore@parents-and-carers.org.uk.
