CAN Communicate Workshop, Leeds on June 12th
CAN Communicate are holding a workshop in Leeds on June 12th 2012, 9.30-16.30.
CAN Communicate work creatively with adults and children with a learning disability, particularly people with profound & multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and provide interactive Creative Communication training to the people that support them. Their aim is for people with PMLD to be enabled to participate in the decision making processes affecting their lives via their Creative Communication.
The day aims to bring to the attention of the delegates the ideas, theories and practical skills needed to use Creative Communication when working with, working for or interacting with people with PMLD. Following the training session, delegates should be able to demonstrate and apply alternative and creative methods of communication in order to allow effective communications with people with PMLD.
Cost
£80 per person
This includes all materials, a comprehensive training pack, refreshments and lunch.
£65 discounted fee (student in the field of learning disability; family carer or enabler; small voluntary organisation i.e. an organisation working in Learning Disability/Special Needs field with no more than 5 paid members of staff.)
10% discount if booking 3 or more places
15% discount if booking 5 or more places (from the same organisation at full price)
